The chilly mornings of early January 2010 brings a close to the 2009 Big Deer Contest. We hope everyone had fun and now has freezers full of meat! Without further ado, here are the official winners of the 2009 Big Deer Contest…

For bucks:

1st place:   Ray Chisenhall, with a 128 gross score
2nd place:  Brad Aiken, with a 120.5 gross score
3rd place:   Phil Clegg, with a 119 gross score

For does:

1st place:   Bill Goss, with 123 lbs
2nd place:  TJ Price, with 120 lbs
3rd palce:   A tie between Jeff Woody & Lonnie Fox, both with 117 lbs

Congratulations to everyone! If you didn’t place in the top 3 in either category this year, we hope to see you next year. Many thanks to everyone who participated, organized, judged, donated to, and supported the contest. We couldn’t have done it without you.

Stay tuned for information on where and when we will be holding the banquet to give out prizes, and just a reminder that the food has been generously donated by Bubba’s Catering and will be cooked by our good friend Chuck Gentry. Carol can have her turkeys, our web guy is ready to put a serious hurtin’ on some barbequed chickens.
