Hunting Resources in North Carolina

Anderson Creek Hunting Preserve

In an effort to share the land and knowledge of farming and habitat for animals, the Farrar family founded Anderson Creek Hunting Preserve, LLC on what was once the Farrar and Farrar Dairy Farm. The Anderson Creek Hunting Preserve of North Carolina has access to 1500 acres of agriculture and wooded land for bird hunting use, with 100 acres of additional land converted back to wetlands which will include nature trails and observation points for wildlife of all kinds. We will have eight 30-40 acre blocks of land with at least 8 different styles of habitat, from wide open fields, to thin or thick woods, from flat lands to step and rolling hills. We feel our place will be a show case for hunting and out door recreation in North Carolina.

Tobacco Stick Hunting Preserve

Tobacco Stick Hunting Preserve and Kennel is a retired rural tobacco farm in the Southern Piedmont of North Carolina. This Hunting Preserve has been established for the purpose of hunting upland game. Our desire is to provide our guests the best hunt available in a natural bird hunting setting, reminiscent of the 1940's and 50's. We have lots of open fields, pine woods and impoundments. Our acreage is planned and managed with  grasses, food plots, and timber to create a natural habitat for the birds and a pleasing visit for the hunters. Bring your own dog, or choose a guided hunt with our dogs. We offer morning, afternoon and all day hunts.

Big Deer Contest at Drye's Gun Shop

Every year we have a contest at the shop that gives away prizes for the 3 largest/highest scoring does/bucks harvested during the season. The entry fee is reasonable and the prizes are great, not to mention a banquet at the end to give away the prizes. The more people that get involved, the better prizes! Check it out, participate this coming season, and most of all, have fun!

Forbes Outfitters

Forbes Outfitters is a family operated business affording adventuresome hunters access to some of the most pristine and private hunting country west of Kaycee, Wyoming in the southern end of the Big Horn Mountains. In the late 1800's Butch Cassidy and his Wild Bunch joined-up with the Hole-In-The-Wall Gang and the Wild West's most famous outlaw enclave was born. Hunt and camp in this same area and enjoy historically rich, and spectacularly beautiful terrain; an abundance of trophy game, and Wyoming hospitality. Our goal is to provide each client a memorable hunting experience with knowledgeable, expert guides, and an Old West atmosphere.
