There are 6 prizes available for contestants, top 3 for Big Does, top 3 for Big Bucks. To keep the contest fun and give everyone a chance to win, if your harvests are big enough to place you in the top three of both groups, we'd prefer that you choose one group or the other. This shouldn't scare you away from entering for both Big Does and Big Bucks. After all, you want to increase your odds at winning prizes.
The Rules
1) The contest is limited to deer harvested in the state of North Carolina
2) Your registration and entry fee must be received at least three (3) days prior to harvesting the deer.
3) You must have the weight and/or rack size of your deer measured by one of our qualified officials, all decisions made by them will be final.
4) You must check your harvest at he official Check Station, Drye’s Gun Shop. Call ahead prior to closing time (6PM) to let them know you are bringing a harvest in to be weighed or measured.
If it's after hours, please call Danny @ 919-819-3088.
The deer must still be intact (does should be non-gutted) and no older than three days since time of harvest (drying causes weight loss). Our only concern is that the deer is still capable of having its weight taken and rack scored at the time of check-in at our station.
5) All animals must be tagged when brought to the contest. (NO EXCEPTIONS)
6) If you win a prize, you will be notified and it must be claimed by January 15th, 2011. if not claimed the prize will go to the next contestant. If the prize you win is a firearm, you must complete the required forms and pass the NICS background check prior to taking possession of the firearm. If you do not qualify to win a firearm you must forfeit that prize and we will substitute a prize of equal value.
