Carol is a NRA Certified Instructor and she will start teaching a basic pistol safety course for women.
The NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course introduces students to the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for owning and using a pistol safely. Through this course, the students will learn about pistol parts and operation, ammunition, gun safety, pistol shooting fundamentals, and pistol shooting activities. The Basic Pistol Course will also help prepare the student for participation in other NRA courses.

Class size will be limited to 6 students, ladies only.

This is the perfect class for you or someone you care about to get familiarized with the basic terminology, safety and use of a handgun (both revolver and semi-auto).
  • Interested in taking the Conceal/Carry class but don’t have any practical experience with a handgun?
  • Have guns in the house and want to feel more safe with them?
  • Interested in protecting yourself and your home but don’t know anything about firearms?
  • Got a pesky fella who means well but does a crummy job teaching you about guns?

What to wear:  
  • Comfortable (warm) clothes and tennis shoes or boots. We will be shooting outdoors in a pasture, so it may be muddy.
What to bring:
  • A pistol to shoot: If you want to bring your own pistol please do (and bring the owner's manual), if you don't have one you can borrow one of ours.
  • Ammunition: Do not bring into class, leave it in your car, or you can buy ammo from us.
  • The cleaning kit for your pistol
  • Hearing protection (mandatory)
  • Eye protection (mandatory)

If you don't have something on this list it will be OK, we have items in the shop.
